  • September 2016: "Oh, the Stories They Could Tell" (The Chicago Tribune, Primetime) focused on how collecting and preserving family histories has become a booming industry with hundreds of individuals for hire, all over the world. The article included comments from APH Executive Director Linda Coffin and others.
  • October 2014: Linda Coffin received the "Minnesota Genealogy Ambassador" award, for "representing Minnesota on the national genealogy scene and bringing honor to Minnesota genealogy."
  • January 2012: Linda Coffin was named as the first Executive Director of the Association of Personal Historians (APH). She will continue her project work under her own business name (HistoryCrafters) while working with APH to elevate the personal history profession to new levels of professionalism and public awareness.
  • November 2010: Linda Coffin was elected as Education Chair on the Board of Directors of the Association of Personal Historians, for a two-year term beginning in January 2011.
  • June 2010: Linda's article entitled "Telling Our Stories with Flair: Immigration Stories" appeared in the Spring issue of The Minnesota Genealogist.
  • May 2009: Linda Coffin won an award in the annual Excellence in Writing contest sponsored by the International Society of Family History Writers and Editors. The award was presented at the annual conference of the National Genealogical Society in Raleigh, North Carolina. Linda's article ("Great-Uncle Andrew: The Murderer in the Family Closet") appeared in the December 2009 issue of Columns, the ISFHWE newsletter.
  • April 2009: Linda Coffin was profiled in SCCA News, the newsletter of the Seward Civic & Commerce Association, Minneapolis, Minnesota. To see the article, click here.
  • November 2008: Linda Coffin was re-elected for a second term as Publications Chair on the Board of Directors of the Association of Personal Historians, at the annual conference held in Salt Lake City, Utah.
  • October 2008: Linda Coffin was elected president of her chapter of Business Networking International, Bloomington, Minnesota.
  • June 2008: Linda Coffin completed the training program of the 2008 Ohio Oral History Institute, held at Kenyon College.
  • October 2007: Linda Coffin was profiled in Member to Member, newsletter of Minnesota Women in Marketing and Communications.
  • November 2006: Linda Coffin was elected for a two-year term as Publications chair on the Board of Directors of the Association of Personal Historians, at the annual conference held in Portland, Oregon.
  • October 2006: "Delve Into Your Family History," an article in 3M Stemwinder, a newsletter for 3M employees, about a workshop presented by Linda Coffin for the 3M Genealogy Club.
